I found The Digital Scrapbooking Studio last year and have followed some of the posts for a while. I did add layouts there when on the CT for Blue Heart Scraps and Connie Prince during 2020 but haven't really done much else. Well one of the emails I got earlier this month mentioned a forum challenge called Layout-A-Day Winter Cabin.... it runs for two weeks (6th to 24th Jan) and every day that you do a layout you get a part of a kit.
Sooooooooo naturally I plunged right in and did a few layouts. You can use kits and templates from anywhere, which is great as I then get to do a few other challenges at the same time.
1 (6th Jan) - Font - the speed scrap layout from DDD
2 (7th Jan)- Smoke
Also entering this into the Just Because Studio facebook challenge for using their $2 Tuesday kit
3 (8th Jan) - Old Photo - used
MOC9-6 layout
4 (9th Jan) - Snowman - layout also made for Gingerscrap's
colour challenge
5 (11th Jan) - White space - Used the
template from Gingerscraps challenge
6 (12th Jan) Photo Edit - product challenge layout for JBS
7 (13th Jan) Cute Animal- scrapper's choice layout for DDD
8 (14th Jan) Scatter - design challenge layout for JBS
9 (15th Jan) Two fonts - diary layout from TLP MOC9-12
10 (16th Jan) Faux Cutouts - also entered this in the Lynn Grieveson colour palette challenge at TLP
11 (18th Jan) - A Really Good Day
Entering this layout in the Little Butterfly Wings template challenge through The Lilypad
12 (19th Jan) Silhouette
I used part of the new kit from
Cornelia Designs WinterWinterGoAway for this page.
13 (20th Jan) Use three patterned papers - layout for MOC9-16 doodle challenge
14 (21st Jan) Repurpose paper as a stencil
Another layout using
Cornelia Designs WinterWinterGoAway kit. I played a bit with the papers for this one to create the mottled leafy background for the challenge - an interesting technique indeed
15 (22nd Jan) - A bad patch
16 (23rd Jan) - Dark background - Layout from MOC9-21 birthday challenge
The pressure has been on with these challenges as you have to make and post each layout within 24 hours of the challenge being announced. It has kept me on my toes indeed. Glad I have managed to stick with it and get it all done!
