Sketch n Scrap - December card

This is my last post for Sketch n Scrap.... awwwww! But I can really say that this team has been a real joy to design for. To round out my time I've made this card:

I chose to use traditional Christmas colours and went with quilled holly for my embellishment... a simple touch to the pretty rub-on sentiment.

I wish all the girls on this team the best of time. Thanks Lisa for your support and belief in me and letting me loose on facebook each month.

Remember to join in on the blog or on facebook for lots of fun sketches and challenges.

UnstampaBellas: Dec2019

Christmas is just a few days away.... we're all getting excited but really need to keep our eyes on the reason for the season. Here is my card especially for that:

This month's challenge is: Star Struck Starry Night
The twist to the challenge is: Use Sparkle Pens and/or Glues

I added lots of quilled stars and then some bling stars too to make a true starry night.

This is my last post for the Unstampabelles team. I've enjoyed being part of this team and expanding my quilling designs each month to match the themes. It's been a wonderful creative opportunity.

Off The Rails - December

It's time to celebrate the Christmas season in all the ways possible. I chose a simply Christmas card for my reveal today for Off The Rails.

I used the 5th of December sketch from Sketch n Scrap for my starting point for this card and added some holly quilling plus an old rub-on with a little bit of pen detail. The papers are very non-traditional Christmas colours but oh so pretty.

This is my last time sharing for this team. I've had a lovely two plus years doing various projects and layouts and have enjoyed my time. Remember to follow along on facebook to see what others on the team do each month.

IQCG - December moodboard

It's another DT reveal day for us and the theme this month is winter flowers. Well as it's the Christmas season too I went with the traditional Christmas flower of the poinsettia.

I kept my flowers simple and added a few holly leaves and then embellished the card with the tag strip and string.

Come play along with us and remember to tag #IQCG and #IQCG65 in your post on instagram or in the facebook group.

This is my last post for this team. I've enjoyed quilling this year and coming up with designs each month to match the moodboard. The girls are soooooooo creative and I've gotten a lot of inspiration from the entries each month.

UnstampaBellas: Nov2019

It's time to share a new idea for Unstampabellas for this month:

This month's challenge is: Paradise Pretties and Tropical Delights
The twist to the challenge is: Into the Wild

Are you ready for a holiday... I sure am but still have nearly a month to go... at least I can dream of it with this card (not that I am much a beach person but it does look idyllic!)

I decided that a tropical island would make the perfect scene for this theme... saw this idea on pinterest and made it my own... love all the little elements that come together and create the picture.

Sketch n Scrap - November Crop Challenge

It's monthly challenge time again at Sketch n Scrap and I have a card challenge for you.

I've used a piece of paper from Simple Stories that when I folded it looked just like the sketch that I used. I jazzed it up with some thread and quilled lightbulbs and then added some glittery washi tape to the bottom edge. A simple way to liven up some Christmas cards.

So come on over to facebook and join us for our monthly challenges.

IQCG - November moodboard

Our moodboard this month is all about giving thanks... it's a lovely thought indeed.

I made a card with lots of flowers on it and then added leaves that I got from my Mom-in-law in Canada that she had made when doing quilling. How special is that to combine two generations on one card?
Remember to tag us with #IQCG64 when you post your entry on instagram, your blog or load it on our facebook group.

UnstampaBellas: Oct2019

Here is my card made especially for this month's theme:

This month's challenge is: Well, Thank You
The twist to the challenge is:Brilliant in Blue

This challenge was fairly easy for me as blue is my favouritist colour in the whole world. I found the soft paper in my leftover stash and even the rubon flowers too. The quilled flowers were ones I had wanted to try for a while. I bought the sentiment diecut in March and it worked so well for this challenge.

IQCG - Oct 2019 - Autumn

The northern hemisphere is heading for autumn whilst we are into spring. Both these seasons have the most beautiful array of colours. Our moodboard for this month is all about the colours of autumn.

I decided to try my hand at a little "patchwork".... made lots and lots of little diamonds and then stuck them all together in an intricate pattern (that took quite a bit of brainwork and concentration!). Once all done I turned it into this card:

Sketch n Scrap - Sept Card

Our newest challenges are running on the facebook group... come and join us for some fun. Here is my card that I've created for my challenge today:

My twist to this challenge is for you to use SCALLOPS. I used a border sticker which had scallops on for my twist. Also, the sentiment sticker has a few scallops on it.

As an added bonus, I only used scraps and leftovers on my card and everything is from different manufacturers. Another great way to mix and match your stash to use it up.

Come play along and have some fun in our monthly challenge group.

Sketch n Scrap - August card

Here is my card for this month's sketch:

I was inspired by the rings on the sketch and thought of coffee stains, so pulled out some coffee flavoured papers and my stamps. Just a quick card for any occasion.

Sketch n Scrap - July monthly challenge

Hope you've taking the time to join our monthly challenge group on facebook... here is my card challenge for today:

My twist on this challenge is to use numbers.... I used three oversized number stickers on my card along with a sticker ribbon strip and sentiment. Also added 3 blings for fun.

Come play along with us in our Monthly Challenge group and get inspired.

IQCG - July2019 - monochromatic

We have a fun new challenge on the blog for Indian Quilling Challenge Group... it's all about going monochromatic this month:

For my monochromatic colour, I picked shades of yellow and decided to do a whole mason jar of little daisies. This is an idea that's been rattling around in my brain for a while so was nice to have an excuse to make it.

Come play along. Visit the blog for lots more inspiration and to enter our monthly challenge.

Week 12 of my 100 days

Winter arrived last weekend and I managed to get quite a few projects done and made headway on my 100 days of crafts. Here's what I shared through the week:

Day 78 - Dinner layout for Let's Scrap Sketches

Day 79 - pink mandala

I decided to take the plunge and try my hand at creating some quilled jewellery pendants.
Day 80 - shades of orange

Day 81 - shades of blue

Day 82- shades of purple

Another pretty mandala based on one I found on pinterest.
Day 83 - Pastel mandala

Day 84 - Celebrate card for Unstampabelles.

All the supplies and tools for these projects are from KCraft.

It's been a week of quilling that's for sure. Please let me know what you think of these creations.

UnstampaBellas: June2019

I've been busy working on this reveal for the past two months nearly. I knew what I wanted to do as soon as we got the brief but then ended up dithering to complete it.... yikes! Who knew that making a simple card could take sooooooooo long.

This month's challenge is: Stained Glass using Dies
The twist to the challenge is: use Glitter

Well I started with my inky background and then added three layers of the diecut on top of that to give some depths. I added some glitzy embossing powder to a small piece of paper and once it was heated and cooled I diecut my word. This I backed onto the orange diecut piece and then added my quilled flowers. It all came together pretty quickly once I stopped dithering... hehehe.

IQCG - June - School

This month's theme is school related.

I created a sweet little owl for my school related theme. These are really lots of fun to make and adding them to a card is such an easy way to display them. I made a bigger one of these about a year ago as a farewell gift for a teacher. They can be for exams wishes, graduation, teach appreciation or just because it's cute!

Be sure to check out the IQCG blog all month long for loads more ideas.
