I haven't posted too many Google Doodles here lately... just been a bit busy.... but today's one really deserves to be shown....

It's Earth Day today.... which means that we need to do SOMETHING for the planet today... even Google are doing their bit...

Remember, there is the Ecoscrapbook bloghop happening today too.

For my contribution this weekend, I have scrapped a few layouts... all of them using very old papers from my stash... nothing new has been bought for any of them. Today I also put the finishing touches to some layouts created over the past two weeks... going to scan them all tomorrow, so will showcase them later this week.

I found this Google doodle on the uk site... not nearly as much green as I would have thought when you hear about the Irish!  But fun nevertheless.

Some days when I open Google there is a doodle, but on most day's there is not.  And then on days when I expect there to be one... it takes a bit of digging to find it.... like today... it's Australia Day and going to Google.com.au this is what I found:

Happy 2012

I saw in the New Year!!!! My friend Judi and I did a "all night" scrap .... from about 4pm yesterday afternoon until after 1am this morning.  It was a night of lots of laughs and plenty of gorgeous layouts.  I managed to do two doubles and three singles and she did one double and two singles.  There was plenty of big bang fireworks going off in our area too, so no way was I going to get any sleep anyway!  Though my two guys did sleep through it all.

Google are even on the Happy New Year bandwagon today... check out today's welcome screen:

I have other exciting news for the start of this year too, but you might have to wait until tomorrow to read it.  It's going to be a fun scrappy year this year I'm sure.

Looking forward to the New Year

It's the last day of 2011.... it's been a very up and down year but I think for me it's actually been more up than down.... yes stressful with Grade 4 and all, but in general not toooo bad.  I do think though that I'm glad to see this year pass.... here's hoping and praying that 2012 will be a much more positive year.

So with that, here is today's Google for you from me....

I plan to do an all-night scrap tonight with my best friend.... okay maybe not "all" night... but at least till past the midnight hour.  Hope whatever you plan for tonight to see the clock change will be just what you need.
