There is a retirement sale going on at The Digital Press... it ends TONIGHT. I managed to get my hands on one last kit (called GetOutside) from NiniGoesDigi and designed a layout just to showcase this beautiful kit.
I love the soft blues and greens in the kit.... it lends itself so well to lots of layouts. So glad I managed to get it before it is gone forever from the shop.
I follow the Just Because Studio facebook group and every now and then she has these tribe challenges. I've done a few now in conjunction with the monthly challenges at Gingerscraps. This week though I decided to just make the page for the fun of it.
The challenge was to do a patchwork background and use the extraction technique on a photo... fun stuff to do and made easier by using a patchwork inspired template from Connie Prince.
Looking forward to playing with the next challenge when it comes.
Connie has launched her newest collection #2020November.... it is jampacked full of lovely bit. I feel sooooooooo privileged getting to play with it.
I used the template that comes in the collection plus a border strip and also a messy paper.... lots of bits from all the pieces of this collection. My title is made up of a mixture of the alpha add on too. I love how Connie create huge kits with lots of bits that all work together.

I had such a good run at the beginning of the month with DSD that I ran out of steam for a few days. Thankfully the monthly reward (a free kit) was egging me on and I managed to get my 10 layouts done for the challenges before month end.

Having completed the DSD challenges I still wanted to try my hand at the monthly and designer challenges at The Lilypad... however I seem to have run out of oomph and month to get these done. I did however manage to get one done:

Nini has a new release as part of the Special Edition at The Digital Press. As I was away for the weekend I didn't get to scrap with it until now... such a pretty kit with lots of fun elements and patterns.
I saw a layout on instagram that gave me the idea for mine... I love that you can find inspiration everywhere and make it work for any layout. Lots more to come I am sure.

Edited 15 Oct 2020: I found out when we got back from Wyndford that I won the lucky draw for my Harvest&Hayrides layout as well as for one of the games... received $10 coupon and a free kit. It's been my lucky week it seems.
I've had fun trying my hand at lots of the games and challenges at The Lilypad for DSD2020. It's been frantic at times (and more browsing than scrapping!) but I have managed to get some layouts done.

Whilst I was making this kit I made another with the kit called A Walk In The Woods... aptly named for layouts about Wyndford! And so perfectly timed too as we are going there this weekend... our trip from April got postponed due to lockdown and now finally we get to go.

It's a busy week this week.... actually it started on Friday already with Digital Scrapbook Day happenings all around the internet. I've set myself a goal of completing as many of the challenges as possible in this very limited time period. Each site has different deadlines (thank goodness!) so I can space out my to-do list and tick them off as I go.
First up is AppScrappers - Over and Beyond Project Life on facebook. They had a whole bunch of games and 8 different challenges posted on Saturday all due by this afternoon. I managed to do them all... and thankfully combine some of these with other sites' challenges coming up later this week. So here's what I did

Edited 8 Oct 2020: I won one of the two $10 Gingerscraps vouchers up for grabs. I think I was the only one who completed all 8 challenges. There weren't too many participants across the challenges, but lots of fun was had with the games.
I got my hands on my first kit as part of my Guest CT stint for NiniGoesDigi and just had to dive in to scrap.
Sooooooo good to get going with this new term and on DSD weekend too. Lots more scrapping coming up for the next few days. Check out the shop at The Digital Press for lots more specials.
