It's time to celebrate the Christmas season in all the ways possible. I chose a simply Christmas card for my reveal today for Off The Rails.
I used the 5th of December sketch from Sketch n Scrap for my starting point for this card and added some holly quilling plus an old rub-on with a little bit of pen detail. The papers are very non-traditional Christmas colours but oh so pretty.
This is my last time sharing for this team. I've had a lovely two plus years doing various projects and layouts and have enjoyed my time. Remember to follow along on facebook to see what others on the team do each month.

Off The Rails - Oct moodboard
It's time to share my layout for this month's moodboard:
Our theme this month is all about the desert... well these pics of a good old South African windmill were perfect for this! I also took inspiration from the orangy colours of the sand and daisy for my layout colour choice.
Come join us on facebook and see what else the DT have to offer for inspiration

Off The Rails - Aug2019 moodboard
Today I am sharing my layout to give a little inspiration from our moodboard for this month:
The moodboard and challenge is all about black and white... this is sooooooooo not an easy one for me as I really do love colour. I found these cute bunny photos from one of my trips to Wyndford and decided to make this page predominantly black and white. I used various papers from my stash that had patterns in it and then also added white stitching and the flowers. Then I dug out some brads, a flair and even some leftover stamped bits. Lastly was using some stickers to make my title. It's amazing actually how much black and white stash I found once I started looking. This page only made a small dent into that stash.
Here is the moodboard to inspire you too:

Week 11 of my 100 days
There is only about a month left of this project and I am still at it. Crafting lots and sharing daily. Here's what I shared for the last week:
Both these tags were based on a card sketch from Sketch n Scrap, but as the rules of the challenge states no tags allowed I didn't share them there only for my days of crafts. They really did come together quite easily from the sketch too, which you can see here.
I've decided to tackle a bit more of my 2018 digi scrapping this month to share too... it's still a craft!
Day 76 - Boys will be boys layout for Off The Rails Scrapbooking
Day 77 - Owl card for Indian Quilling Challenge
So this week has involved quilling, digi scrapping and design team scrapping. It's been very creative.

Off The Rails - June moodboard Inspiration
It's time to share once again for Off the Rails Scrapbooking.
I was inspired by the beach photo in our moodboard and just had to scrap these photos. I pulled out lots of lovely Kaisercraft beachy papers and an old sticker sheer for my embellishments. I also used a project life card leftover from a boy range (just covered up the gun with the big crab!). This layout is based on a Jowilna original so obviously has lots of little touches from her... like the stencil stamping down the sides... love this technique sooooooo much. I even got to use up some sea themed paperclips that have been in my stash for ages.
This month you actually get two moodboards to choose from - Fun In The Sun or Sewing. Pick one and come play along with us on our facebook group.
Whilst there you can see lots more inspiration from our DT.

Off The Rails - Tiny Bubbles
Our theme this month is all things Hippy. Well I just went for colourful plus I love the pic on the moodboard of the girl blowing the dandilion... just like these kids blowing bubbles:
This layout is based on a Jowilna original design which I tweeked a little to suit my photos. I love the papers from Illustrated Faith...the colours just worked well with my photos and also added to the moodboard theme. I diecut the bubble circles and even added some of the solid bits to my page too.
Come join the fun over on our facebook group.

Off The Rails - April Moodboard - Boys
Wow April sure has rushed past us again. I managed to get a bit of scrapping done all month long (inbetween all my quilling too!).
Here's my super boy inspired layout for Off The Rails this month... all about the accidental side of having a boy!
This layout is based on a Jowilna original page and is used with LadyPatternPaper ranges. I stuck with the blues and browns to pick out the colours in the photos.
Here is our moodboard to inspire you too:

Off The Rails - March moodboard - Vintage
This month's moodboard for OTR is all about vintage.... I battle doing "old" style as I am mainly scrapping my photos for my photo album. Thankfully I had these photos of Aaron with his peak cap on that reminds me of the olden days... hehehe.
So I used them as my vintage twist together with the "scruffy" papers from Penelope Dee and some cogs from Celebr8.
Be inspired by this moodboard and play along with us.

Off The Rails - Feb moodboard - Recycle
I am sharing today my layout for Off The Rails moodboard... I really liked the bright colours and used that as my starting point:
With our theme too of recycling I decided to use up some of my leftovers for my page. I pulled out all the bits that had lots of colours on them, punched squares and then cut those in half to form triangles. Next up was to arrange the triangles in a chevron pattern across the page and machine stitch them in place.
The photos were also punched into squares and then mounted into photo strips. This is all mounted onto a piece of patterned paper. Lastly I dug out some old button stickers and a few others to add to the layout.
The only "new" bit on my layout is the title which I created in Silhouette Studio and then cut out.
My layout is a scraplift of one from Paige Evans from a few years back:
We are no longer using the blog to share our layouts, but rather loading it all onto the OTR facebook group.... join us there for lots more inspiration.

Off The Rails - Jan moodboard - Parents
This month at Off The Rails we've had added inspiration as we are scraplifting each other's styles as well as following the monthly moodboard:
Well I went for the challenge and chose to scraplift Lisa-Marie Watling. I love her layered look but it is sooooooooo not something I do... plus she usually only scraps with one photo which I rarely do either... so I really was stretched. I scraplifted this layout:
As you will see my layout has three extra photos on it... that's because I had them already printed and didn't want to waste them.... plus I felt they told the story too which I journalled about after I had taken the layout photo as it is a little bit more personal.
Here's the moodboard we are playing with:

Off The Rails - Dec Tutorial - Christmas
Christmas has come and gone and now we are heading towards 2019. Have you managed to get any scrapping done this holiday season? I've done a few pages and LOTS of planning for next year.
The theme for this month at Off The Rails has been "anything goes" and I did this layout about seeing out the old year (yes it's from a few years back!) This layout is inspired by a Jowilna original too.
Be sure to head on over to the blog to see lots more inspiration through the month from the whole team.

Off The Rails - Nov Moodboard - BoHo
It's time to share again for Off the Rails... this time a little moodboard inspiration:
The moodboard is all about Boho... not really something I am into so this was a stretch for me. I found inspiration in the colours and the "girly" bits and so did a layout about my friends. This layout is based on a Jowilna original from a few years back.
I used two different punches on my papers which lends themselves to a lacy feel from the moodboard. Did some coffee stain stamping and then also added twine, brads and stitching. Lots of little details.
Come play along with us on the blog and get some more inspiration from the team.

Off The Rails - Sept Moodboard - Food
This month's moodboard is all about food. I had a scrap layout all planned for this but at the last minute decided to rather try my hand at a quilling item just to be a bit different.
I made the mug in my favourite blue colours and of course it's all about my favourite beverage too... a yummy mug of coffee.
Come play along with us on the blog and check out some more DT inspiration.

Off The Rails - Aug Tribe Tutorial
We are nearing the end of the month and it's super busy at work and here at home with all my DT deadlines coming up again. Thankfully I am making time to get things done.
Just on a side note, I am soooooooooo very thankful for water and the luxury of indoor plumbing and being able to have a bath. On Monday a power station in Jhb exploded and it supplied power to the water pumpstation for the whole of the West Rand. We were without water for about 24 hours. It came on at about 4:30 this morning.
Okay, back to the business of the day... I have this layout on the OTR blog and am sharing with you there a whole host of ideas. A big shout out to Jowilna for the inspiration of this page which is based on one she designed.
We are playing with this moodboard all month long.. the theme is Your Tribe.
Go check it out on the blog.

Off The Rails - July Moodboard - Coldness
This month's moodboard fits right in with the winter season... brrrrr. It seems that the cold has finally arrived and might be here to stay. Though I do feel a bit chilly I am not complaining (at least I hope not!). I'd rather put on another layer in the winter than swelter in the summer. And scrapping next to a roaring fire over the weekend is the perfect plan too.
I chose to scrap adorable photos of my great-nephew from two years ago, all dressed up for this chilly weather.
This is our inspiration for this month...

Off The Rails - June Tutorial
It's time to share a little inspiration again plus a link to my tutorial.
I made this layout based on one from Michelle van Wyk from a few years back. It's been on my to-do list for ages and fit perfectly with this month's moodboard.
You can read my full tutorial over on the blog.

Off The Rails - May moodboard
It's time for me to share my layout for the moodboard at Off The Rails.... this month out theme is Mother Nature.
I was drawn to the predominately orange colour of the fire but my first thought was of sunsets, so I chose a beautiful photo of a sunset as seen from my scraproom. I decided to pair it with a cutfile from PaperIssues. I cut this out of orange cardstock and backed it with plain white to which I added yellow, orange and red distress oxide inks.
Once all was stuck down I ran a stitching wheel over it to form some more sun rays and then went over these with a white pen. Lastly I added my title which is a Rachel Hodge free cutfile.
Check out the blog for lots more inspiration.
