Off The Rails - May moodboard

It's time for me to share my layout for the moodboard at Off The Rails.... this month out theme is Mother Nature.

I was drawn to the predominately orange colour of the fire but my first thought was of sunsets, so I chose a beautiful photo of a sunset as seen from my scraproom. I decided to pair it with a cutfile from PaperIssues. I cut this out of orange cardstock and backed it with plain white to which I added yellow, orange and red distress oxide inks.

Once all was stuck down I ran a stitching wheel over it to form some more sun rays and then went over these with a white pen. Lastly I added my title which is a Rachel Hodge free cutfile.

Let's Get Sketchy - 1 May reveal

It's so nice to have this long weekend... I took yesterday off as well to make it especially long and relaxing. Mom & I spent Friday to yesterday at Maglies Park in Hartbeespoort.... a lovely relaxed break away. Now that I am home it's back to all the usual chores and hopefully a little scrapping too.

The next month means that there are new sketches revealled too... so here's the first one for today:

I used two pics in place of the one on the sketch and added my journalling at the bottom. Though my pics aren't very clear they do capture a rare father-son moment.

I used one of the free cutfiles from PaperIssues.com for my title.
