Scrapbook Challenges - Sketch 337

The sketch for Scrapbook Challenges actually went live on Monday but I've been so busy with family this week that only coming up for air now to post my layout.

This might be a one photo sketch, but look I actually got 12 pics on my page... hehehe

Nuts About Sketches - Week 258

It's been great having  long weekend at home... with last Thursday being a public holiday I managed to organise Friday off too (worked lots of overtime the week before!)... so I scrapped the whole weekend just about!

Today's layout for Nuts About Sketches I did a week ago so I am now slowly managing to stay ahead of the pack.

These photos of from the school's Easter Service in 2012... the Grade 5s did a flag dance.  For this year's service, Aaron was involved in a drama production... so now I have more pics to scrap.

Jowilna's class

At the beginning of March, Theresa and I did an all day class with Jowilna... was a lovely relaxed day with great pages, a few techniques and perfect company.  I finally managed to add the last of my photos to the pages so can now show off what we made.

The one thing I definitely learnt on this day, was to take papers from totally different ranges and even different manufacturers that you would never think of using together but doing just that.... these pages work soooooooooo well... love the simplicity of them but also the tiny details which just add a bit of character.

Can't wait to do another day with Jowilna.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 257

So days when scrapping I have soooooooo much fun I don't really want to stop.... and then other days things just don't go quite according to plan.  Well Saturday was a bit of both.... I managed to create some great pages, but then one just didn't work quite like I wanted it too.  But when I looked at it again on Sunday morning, I decided my page was actually pretty good.

I wanted to use vellum on my page to help create the effect of water bubbles... yip every scrappers arch-nemesis!!! First issue was getting the vellum stuck down.... the glue tape that I used had losts it's sticky so that went in the bin!  Then I used my normal glue which worked great but of course I was in a bit of a rush and didn't wait for it to dry totally before deciding to apply dimensional glaze to each of my circles.  Well they are now truly "plastic" looking... hehehe... but you know what? The page is done and ticked off!

Paper Mixing Bowl - Recipe for March

We have a new recipe up at the Paper Mixing Bowl for you.... this month is all about being Irish... okay maybe just using lots and lots of green stuff....

I went with the predominately green theme and also added in a touch of gold with the one photo matt... which embossed through my Cuttlebug by first inking up the embossing plate with walnut stain inkpad.  I also stamped my title and then used rubons for the rest of the title/journalling.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 256

I had a great scrappy weekend... managed to get 5 pages down over two days!  But of course I can't show them to you now as they are design team work.... except this one that I did for Nuts About Sketches.

I got to play with my new DoCrafts cogs dies and stamps for this page... and paired them with old Cosmo Cricket papers... love the combo.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 255

It's March.... and a new six month term begins today at Nuts About Sketches.  Today's reveal is made up of the layouts that we had to submit for our application.... there were two sketches and I decided to do both... yip overachiever that I am!
