Scrapbook Generation - Life is a circus crop

At the end of February there was a weekend online Crop for Scrapbook Generations. I made a good attempt at getting the layout challenges completed during March and uploaded them all before we went away last Friday. I just never had time to share them here till now:

Cotton Candy Recipe: - had to use 6x6 papers and I used some from the Lady Pattern Paper cards range for my page.

One-Page Sketch:

Color Challenge: Under the Big Top - We had to use Red, Black, White and Gold. (this is based on a Jowilna original layout)

Papercraft: Project Life type layout: (this is based on a Jowilna original layout)

Star of the Show: make stars and circles the highlight of the page (based on a Jowilna original)

Some of the other challenges I did, I have already posted about as I combined them with other challenges:

All I want to do is Scrapbook Two-page (my layout for ScrapPlezier from earlier this month)

All I want to do is Scrapbook One-page (my hexagon page which I showcased early)

Circus Balloons Tic Tac Toe (You and Me layout created for Sketch n Scrap crop)

Two-Page Sketch (I used this layout for a ScrapPlezier page earlier this month too)

I am sure happy to have been able to do all these layouts for this online crop (and also combine them with some other)... it gets a few more layouts ticked off my to-do list. Now it's back to DT scrapping for the next few weeks.

Sketch N Scrap - Lucky Charms crop

I am taking part again in an online crop at Sketch N Scrap. Here's my layouts I managed to do so far:

Pre-Challenge: we had to answer a poll about our favourite pattern to scrap with then make a layout/card using it. My fav is stripes.

Challenge 1:

Challenge 3:

I hope to do another layout for this crop but it will have to wait till next week.

The Wedding Couple

One of my work colleagues got married this past weekend and I made her a little momento.

It was fun to learn how to make little people... they are not perfect but it definitely worked. I would love to make these again, so if you know of someone getting married who would enjoy their own bride and groom, let me know.

ScrapPlezier - Moments

It's reveal day for me and I have this lovely layout to share with you:

I used some new and some old Kaisercraft papers on my page.... the new is from the Miss Betty collection and the old is from Kaleidescope and Chanteuse collections.

This layout is extra special this week because in just four days Mom and I will be heading back to this wonderful place for a weekend of relaxation.... Wyndford here we come!

Head over to the blog to read more about my layout.

Off the Rails - Black & White Plus 1

The weather has turned a little grey and wet today.... guess it's a perfect day to hide away in my scraproom and do some creative work. Here is my layout for this month's reveal at Off the Rails.

I chose red as it was the colour of Aaron's shirt (not just because it was in the moodboard!). My layout is based on a sketch from Creative Scrappers out of the new sketch book that I won a few months back.

The big stars on this layout I made by colouring some paper red with oxide inks and then stamped with a new carabelle stamp set I have. I scattered a few other stars and stickers around.

I wanted to stamp the date on my page and ended up doing it upside down on my first stamp.... grrr. So now what? Well I just turned it into a feature by overstamping the date randomly around the page and so now it looks like it was meant to be! A very quick fix.

Oh another funny thing on this page.... I cut the triangles for the black corners, stuck everything down and only when I did my hand sewing did I realise that the numbers on the black paper are upside down... hehehehe. Oh well maybe it was just meant to be!

Come play along on the blog and get inspired.

Let's Scrap Sketches - 15 March

Here is my next layout reveal for this week...

Aaron & I went to this very interesting show at SciBono two years ago. Unfortunately we couldn't take photos there but I did find the website with lots of pics on it, so printed those, plus I used the original flyer we got about the show too.

Come play along on the blog with us.

Let's Get Sketchy - 15 March

Wow the month is galloping away with us.... already halfway through and time for lots of sketch/layout reveals to share.

We got to play with this great sketch:

I used some Lady Pattern Paper on my layout and combined it with old stickers and flowers plus brads. Even the journalling card is an old one from my stash. So nice to be able to use up a few of my goodies.

Come on over to the blog and be inspired to play along.

ScrapPlezier - moodboard

The new moodboard is up and here's my layout:

We had this for inspiration:

I used the Kaisercraft Miss Match Collection for my layout as I thought the colours were a perfect fit for the moodboard. I was also inspired by the girls in the moodboard and so chose to scrap photos of our church dance group on Pentecost. I added some gold chipboard letters for my title and also a few flowers from my stash.

Check out the blog for some more inspiration.

Let's Scrap - 1 March reveal

It might be a few days after the beginning of the month, but our sketch has finally been revealed and I can share my layout

We used a "blast from the past" sketch for this week.... and I made my layout from the left side of this sketch.

Come check out more inspiration on the blog and play along for some fun.

Giving a hoo-hoo-hoooooo

One of Aaron's teachers will be leaving his school at the end of this term. He was heartbroken when he heard the news last week. I made this little owl (with a magnet on the back) for a farewell gift for her.

Stick It Down - March double page

It's the first Monday of the month and that means the double page reveal at Stick It Down.

I really liked this sketch but decided to include a large photo on the left page as well as I find it very hard to scrap a double layout with photos only on one side.

I went for a little bit of a mixed media effect for my title.... I did the inky plastic bag stamp trick with a few shades of blue oxides to create some splashes behind my large title. I also used a stencil to ink the arrow onto my page. The letters for my title are handcut from a stencil with stickers for the "from our" words.

Come play along on the blog and see what the rest of the team did for inspiration.

ScrapPlezier - Copper

I have a new layout up today on the blog at ScrapPlezier...

My layout is based on a Jowilna original with some major twists. I used an old Kaisercraft range for my layout... Kaisercraft Party Animals. I cut up the Bop! paper for all the different cards and then used the yellow side of Yippee  and the blue side of Hooray (blue side) to matt my large photo. I added stickers off the sticker sheet for my borders and also used the barcode from the one sheet.  My title letters as well as the flowers and little stickers are all from my stash. I also used a Carabelle script stamp as well as Jowilna's inksplat stamp on my page.

Just another fun layout about our precious little wild bunny who used to visit.

Together with my friends

I made this layout during February using the Scrapbook Generations Valentine's sketch freebie

I definitely think it's time for another fun Ladies Night.

Anyone for pizza?

After more than a month of only scrapping at home (and then only little bits) I went to a class today at Shortcuts.... sooooooooooo good to be back and to see Jowilna and all my other friends. And look at this... my page is 100% complete, photographed and blogged all on the same day!

I really enjoyed making this layout... even getting covered in ink! I used up old stash and managed to get a memory down on paper.
