Sketch n Scrap - Red White & Blue Crop

I haven't done much scrapping this month... it's been a very slow month for me... only managed about 6 singles and sneaked in two doubles over the last two days. But some of the scrapping I did do was for the online crop at Sketch n Scrap.

Challenge 1 - I used my new celebrate die that I got in June... love how the yellow just pops.

Challenge 3 - Used up some stash on this page

Guest Designer- Decided to be a bit adventurous with my layout and added some ink to the background before using a JustNick cut file for my circle and title. I used Celebr8 papers on this layout.

I am super chuffed that I managed to get these pages done for this online crop seeing as I wasn't up to scrapping much this month. Now I I best get cracking in August as I have a whole host of design team layouts due pretty soon.

Sketch n Scrap - Summer Daze crop

It's been another month of online crop fun.

I have managed to create a few layouts again for the layout challenges as follows:

Pre-Challenge:
We were tasked to use a summer icon so I scrapped about eating ice-cream and used a strip of ice-cream cones on my page too.

Challenge 1:
The pretty pink floral was a magazine insert from a UK mag... can't remember exactly which one. Anyway it's been in my stash for a while and I decided it's time to use it. So even with the very blue slipper Day sticker, I chose rather to highlight the pink colours in the photos.

Challenge 3:
I used some of the red star paper from Lady Pattern Paper for my page and flipped the sketch to better fit my photos. Just kept it fairly simple. My journalling is on a tag which is actually at the top of the page where the little black & white strip is.

Guest Designer Challenge
I used all browns from Lady Pattern Paper with some diecut hearts and added stickers for my title.

Am very happy that I managed to squeeze these pages in this month.

Sketch N Scrap - 6th birthday crop

I took past in an online crop this month to celebrate Sketch N Scrap's 6th birthday. They posted challenges and sketches on facebook as well as their blog, and I've tried to do a whole host of them:

Challenge 1 - use 6 items from your stash older than 2 years
Everything on this layout is actually over SIX years old! I somehow misread the challenge hehehe.... but at least it stretched me to use up some of my stash.

Challenge 2 - use the word celebrate - I did this layout for The Cut Shoppe NSD Challenge #3 shared earlier.

Challenge 3 - use items to form the word HAPPY
H - handstitching, A - Arrow, P - Pattern paper, P - Pearls, Y - Yellow cardstock

Challenge 4 - use balloons and/or stars
This layout is using paper from the new LA Paper BirthYay range... love the bright colours.

From their blog I also did the following sketch challenges:

NSD Sketch

Birthday sketch 1

Birthday sketch 2
Another layout using more from the LA Paper BirthYay range showing how versatile it is.

Birthday sketch 3

I have truly enjoyed my scrapping this month and having multiple challenges to do... and being able to enter some of these layouts in various other online crops too. It's been a great scrappy month.

iNSD with The Cut Shoppe

The 5th of May was {inter}National Scrapbooking Day and lots of blogs were having online challenges and crops. I decided to try my had at a few but then scaled down and only did one. I ran out of time really. Anyway here's my entries for the challenges held by The Cut Shoppe:

I used the polaroid cutfilefor this and backed it with lots and lots of scraps from Simple Stories. It all got inspired by a journal card on the Simple Stories paper which I ended up cutting out for the bottom corner. This is also for a product challenge at Scrapbook Generations.

It might not show up tooo well in this photo but I stitched a straight line through each row of hearts to hold them down. I then added some pink and red ink before stamping my quote and added the inked chipboard title. I used a few hearts from the center of the cutfile as well and then added some bling.

I loved the title cutfile and decided that bunny pics would be perfect for this. I also used the colour scheme from the challenge at Scrapbook Generations.

I started with the sketch and celebrate challenge for Sketch N Scrap for my page and then added the challenge from Scrapbook Generation where I had to used certain products. Managed to tick all the boxes on this one. For the cutfile challenge, I offset the words to make a matt. I inked the actual words with Brilliance silver ink.

I am happy that I managed to get these layouts done. It also got me to use some of my stash and play a bit with my curio machine and cutfiles.

As you can see, I am also entering some of these layouts in other challenges at Sketch N Scrap and Scrapbook Generations as well. Posts about those challenges will be coming up towards the end of the month. It's going to be a busy scrapping month ahead!

Sketch N Scrap - Lucky Charms crop

I am taking part again in an online crop at Sketch N Scrap. Here's my layouts I managed to do so far:

Pre-Challenge: we had to answer a poll about our favourite pattern to scrap with then make a layout/card using it. My fav is stripes.

Challenge 1:

Challenge 3:

I hope to do another layout for this crop but it will have to wait till next week.

Hexagons galore

I decided this month to try my hand at the latest Kaisercraft challenge from their blog... to create a layout with hexagons.

I used an older collection for my layout...Forget-Me-Not. All the small hexagons, the title and the tags are from the collectables pack.

I am also entering this layout in the Sketch N Scrap bonus challenge where we needed to use chipboard elements and thread (I stitched all around the hexagons). Plus this is my single page for one of the Scrapbook Generation's Life Is A Circus crop challenges. Phew nice to be able to multitask on a page.

Sketch N Scrap - Queen of Hearts Crop

I have taken part in this month's online crop with Sketch N Scrap again... this crop is so nice and easy... just need to make a layout with the sketch provided and you have two weeks to do it. Here's what I made:

At least I have managed to do a little bit of scrapping this month. I think I might have overdone it last month and some of my mojo left the building. I find it almost an effort to sit and scrap... sure this feeling won't last long!

Sketch N Scrap - Guest Designer - My Card

I am up on the Sketch N Scrap New Beginnings Facebook event again with a card this time.

There was a pre-challenge poll on this crop which involved picking your favourite shape for use on a  card.... well I chose stars. Then they had a fun challenge in which you had to pick a sketch and use at least 3 of that shape.... here's the card I made:

Guess from these two cards you can definitely say that I am seeing stars!

Sketch N Scrap online crop

I joined this facebook page in May I think it was and took part in their birthday crop. Well they are holding another crop now July and I did two layouts using the sketches provided.

For the first layout I decided to mix up my title using lots of different stickers... this is similar to something I saw from Elle Studio who were selling a title pack of different stamps, stickers and acrylic words to use for titles

My second layout I used some Kaisercraft papers and stickers to use up some of my vast stash. It took me two days just to figure out a title... yikes! Some layouts just have an automatic title and others take some dithering.

I really am happy with both these pages..two more ticked off on my long to do list of layouts.

Sketch n Scrap Birthday Scrapping

I am part of the Sketch n Scrap group on Facebook. They are celebrating their 5th birthday this month with sketches and challenges all month long. Well I decided to do a few and this is the results.

The sketch for this has a wreath on it... so I used a cut file and then added some twine for a few more circles.

I did their monthly sketch for May and also combined with a challenge for Scrapbook Generations. On this page I used some of my new acquired Kaisercraft stash (Thanks Jeaunes)

It was good to get two layouts done and being able to combine them for a few challenges.
