Here is another layout for today for the reveal at Scrapbook Challenges.
I used some leftover felt hearts on my page and also inked and stacked various white flowers to form some of the embellishments.
There is a true variety of layouts this week on the blog, so check them out.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 285
Last week we had a lovely long weekend... Tuesday being a public holiday and I was fortunate enough to get Monday off work too.... so I did a nice bunch of scrapping all weekend long... along with a visit to the ballet and a scrapday thrown in too!
One of the layouts I managed to create was the one for today's reveal at Nuts About Sketches.
This was a super easy page to put together, and using the Vintage Bliss range from Simple Stories definitely helped too...a couple of blocks here and there and voila one page put together. Just added a few buttons, ink sprinkles and stitching (ala Jowilna!).
Check out the blog today too to see some more great pages by others on the team.

Another scrap day with Jowilna
On Saturday 21 September, Theresa and I spent the day together once again scrapping and learning from Jowilna Nolte... it was a fun day filled with two layouts, breakfast and pizza for lunch! yummy. Nice and relaxed and I even managed to finish both my pages that evening with photos.
A great page with an awesome (easy!) technique... who would have thought that tissue paper and wax crayons plus a bit of ink would go together so well!
This layout was taught by Lee-anne Fischer... a nice simple page which I then tweaked a bit for my photos.
Looking forward to the next one already!

Kits by the fireside
Winter scrapping in front of the TV next to the roaring fire is a great way to spend an evening. These are some of the kits that I've done in the last few months.

Scrapbook Challenges - Sketch 363
Another one of my layouts I did last time I scrapped.... and for this one I was super inspired by the wrapping in the sketch, that I went a little wild and even hand knitted my embellishment!
I also tried my hand at one of the techniques that Jowilna taught and used the paper to make the banners.... need a bit more practice to make it a little brighter!
Check out this week's blog post for lots more fun ideas on "wrapping" your photos.... plus an extra challenge or two thrown in too!

Nuts about Sketches - Week 284
When you're on a roll, you get to scrap lots. Well that was me two weekends ago... I was churning pages out. This one was one of them...
I took a bit of a deviation in that I found the border paper with the swirls and decided to use it... so cut out the border, around all the swirls and then made everything else fit as per the sketch. Just goes to show how easy it is to adapt a sketch when you need to.
Don't forget, the blog has lots more layouts to see for the rest of the Design Team.

Scrapbook Challenges - Sketch 362
Some sketches just seem to scream inspiration... whilst others might take a bit more effort. To me this layout called for some patchwork... so I found photos and then found scraps of Cosmo Cricket paper that had quilting and embroidery on them... 1-2-3 my layout came together.
These are the quilt and blanket that Mom altered for her bed.... made two singles into one double. I love how they turned out... and my page too!
There are some truly awesome layouts to see this week on the blog, as well as a challenge or two to go along with the sketch.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 283
This week's sketch at Nuts About Sketches is one of those that uses a BIG photo... but this week I decided to fill the space with a series of pics instead and used them to tell a story...
I used an actual box of matches on my page, but rolled some paper to resemble the match. Also just cut a few bits of paper up to create my own little fire embellishment.

Scrapping with Jowilna at Dainfern
On 20 and 21 July2013 Theresa and I went to a weekend of scrapping with Jowilna and Cariena Basson (from Scrapping Studio in JBay). The weekend was jam packed full of great scrapping, food and prizes, plus of course shopping! I walked away with four nearly done pages and lots of loot. Since then I have managed to put together all my pages and can now show them off!
On Saturday we were given a challenge of making a single page using some of the leftover papers and also a pre-digital photo. I scrounged around and found a photo of Mom and Dad from their Switzerland trip in 2007.
The whole weekend was LOTS of fun.... learnt a lot of new stuff. I am definitely looking forward to the next event!

Scrapbook Challenges - Sketch 361
In amongst the coughs and splutters on Saturday, I managed to scrap this awesome double page.... including all the little paper pieced monkeys.
Super fun sketch ... and there are lots more good ideas on the blog today too.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 282
Spring has sprung... and so has the seasonal bugs... I've been coughing for a week but besides that actually feel fine! At least a cough and splutter doesn't put a damper on scrapping!
This week's layout I managed to put together last weekend in amongst all the catch up scrapping I did.
Due to the orientation of my pics, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees. Then also instead of a circle I used a square.
There are lots more great layouts on the blog this week... go and check it out.

Scrapbook Challenges - Sketch 360
Spring sprung this past weekend but we had a very cold and shivery start.... brrrrr! So to keep warm I spent most of my weekend scrapping.... and sunny colours were definitely called for.
Aaron tried to cook himself his own breakfast (while we were still sleeping!)... the noise woke me so i had to see what was happening and then grabbed the camera to remember this moment.
Check out more layouts on the blog too... and there is even a challenge or two to go with this sketch.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 281
This is my first layout of my new term at Nuts About Sketches....so happy to have another 6 months of designing for Shawn.
This page shows a visit by Aaron's uncle and aunt from Canada... they popped in for supper when they were out here visiting her family. Aaron received the shirt as a gift and just had to wear it straight away.
This sketch has all sorts of possibilities.... check out the blog to see what others on the team did.
