The Lilypad - Feb20 Challenges

Even though MOC8 is over, the challenges still go on. Thankfully they're a little scaled back now so I don't have quite so much (self-inflicted) pressure to get things done. I am trying again to get most of the challenges done for the month but won't panic if I fall short...each layout done is one more memory scrapped.

The first weekend of the month saw the Make It Snappy challenge and I managed to finish that one:

Today was also the leap day for this year and I had read a few times in the last few days the question of how are you going to spend the extra day this year.... well I slept in (first time in months!), then did a load of washing (nothing abnormal there as it's the usual Saturday routine!), baked some cookies and spent the rest of my day scrapping these layouts. Amazing how much you can get done in one day.

GDD - Flipping Pancakes Kit

Gone Digital Designs launched her newest kit called "Flipping Pancakes"throughout February with bits of it being on sale with the Pennysavers sale all month. The official full kit release was only yesterday and that's when I got to play with this lovely new stash.

I went with waffles instead of pancakes (or flapjacks or crepes)...but they are all covered in the ton of wordstrips in this kit so there will be more in the future. This is a great "food" inspired kit without being limited to that with the choices of papers. I am sure I will be using lots more of this kit soon soon.

The Digital Press - Feb20 challenges

Over at The Digital Press there are lots of challenges going on (remember last month I did three - and won two!). Well this month there are a host of more challenges by the various designers and I am taking part in those that I can. Here's a peak at what I've done:

Feb has been another busy month with all sorts happening and not quite enough time to scrap (I did also read a few books!).

Gingerscraps - Feb20 Challenges

In January I was so busy with the MOC8 challenge that I never got to do any of those at Gingerscraps. This month I decided to get all 10 challenges done at Gingerscraps as I really want to receive the reward kit... it looks soooooooooooo good.

With being a guest CT for BHS this month I thankfully managed to do some of the challenges with the kits that were released so have already shared those layouts

Phew made it. I really am enjoying this new adventure in scrapping. I find that I spend almost as much time looking for digi stash and dithering about placements as I did with paper scrapping.... just no mess to tidy up afterwards... hehehe.

GDD - Hello February kit

Boy oh boy there are some lovely kits available in the Pennysavers sale at The Digital Press this month, like this new one from Gone Digital Design... such fresh colours and patterns.

I used a layout by mmgallant76 that I saw on instagram as my starting point and turned it into my own.

BHS - True Love Kit

It's time for another release today of a new kit from Blue Heart Scraps... just in time for Valentine's Day.

I used this lovely kit with one of the older templates also from BHS called What's Happening.

BHS - Believe in You kit

Another new release this week from Blue Heart Scraps is the beautiful kit called "Believe in You" at The Studio. The colours are not what I would normally pick to scrap but it is soooooooo pretty that I had to make a page.

Love the grungy edges and the masks which I used as paint splashs. The wordstrips are really great and cover all sorts of good motivation.

This kit is definitely worth getting.

BHS - I Think I Love You kit

Last weekend saw the release of a very colourful kit for the Gingerscraps Buffet called "I think I love you". Well I never got to use it as I was super busy trying to finish MOC and working and on Thursday was the first time that I got a moment to scrap again. And then to crown it all, we ended up with load shedding and more power outages last night (due to a lightning storm that struck a powerline). Lots of fun. Today it is bucketing down constantly but thankfully the power is back on and I can get around to catching up a bit on my DT stuff.

I used the papers, elements and also the freebie cluster on my layout... kept it fairly simple. I might go back and dolly it up some more (or add more photos) but for now I'm calling it done.

BHS - This is Us Kit

It's been a busy scrapping weekend... finishing of my MOC8 layouts as well as a few DT commitments... like this one for Blue Heart Scraps using the new This Is Us kit.

This kit is available at a "new to me" site called Digital Scrapbooking Studio. The kit is on special all week... well worth is as it is jam packed.

GDD - Hopeful kit

It's a new month with a new kit available from Gone Digital Designs called Hopeful. It is a truly beautiful kit.

You can get this kit in bits and pieces (papers, elements) all month long for just $1 each during the pennysavers sale... well worth it.

My good news of this week is that I have been asked to stay on as a permanent member of the team... soooooo thrilled with this as I really enjoy scrapping with Shannel's products.

And just like that I've managed to do them all. Phew! These challenges sure have stretched me and I've learnt a lot. Feel super chuffed that I did in fact get them all done especially seeing as this was the first time I've done a whole month digital challenge like this.
