Scrapbook Challenges - Sketch 480

Look at that, it's the last Monday in April already. The weeks keep flying by. This weekend I spent being very creative... scrapped 10 pages for next month's DT commitments, plus made myself a tshirt (which you can see on instagram if you follow me).

Today I even whipped up a new duvet for my bed. Later in the week I hope to make a new valance type thing for our laundry room. My other craft that is on the go is knitting Aaron a new jersey... guess that had better get started on again seeing as I haven't even finished the back yet and winter will soon be upon us. It's good to be creative and not limiting myself to just scrapbooking either.

Today's page is about Aaron's bunny Muffin... this is the one that died a few weeks back, but these pics were taken in 2014...cute bunny and all.

The circles really drew me on this page. I went with a barbed-wire stamp that I have... a fun way to add detail to the page.

Scrapbook Challenges: Liftapalooza - Stacia

This scraplift layout was fun to make, though is rather busy....

I even hauled out some old plastic letters to do my title... bit of a mission when there aren't enough duplicate letters to make certain words... but I still managed to make a fairly long title! I used a variety of paper from lots of ranges on this page too... really enjoyed this page.

Be sure to look at the blog for some more fun ideas.

Scrapbook Challenges: Liftapalooza - Natalie

It's time to show another liftapalooza layout... this time from Natalie.

I was immediately drawing to the octopus embellishment and those all over the background papers and so then chose to do butterflies... and used the every so versatile Lady Pattern Paper butterfly paper for my background... just a subtle enhancement to the photos.

Remember to play along... you can see more ideas on the blog.

I'm caught up....

.... not on scrapping but on unfinished projects. Yip managed to finally finish my last three layouts with all the necessary photos, details and journalling. Now I can show them:

These are all Jowilna Nolte class layouts... or inspiration from her. I'm so chuffed with how they turned out and I get to tick a few more pages off the to do list. Now to tackle the next 100+ pages waiting!

Scrapbook Challenges: Sketch 479

I had a lovely scrapping weekend... did an art journalling class on Saturday..... so not what I am into but I enjoyed learning the technique. I will use what I created in a page during May...so keep your eyes pealed.

Yesterday I also finally managed to finish the last of my to-be-finished pages... still need to photograph them so will have them up later this week hopefully.

Today I took Aaron back to the the Orthodontist for a "breakage" visit... one of the braces had come unglued last week... anyway, the report back was that his skew tooth has made remarkable progress, to the point where they can now actually attach the brace to it. Wow in five weeks there is a vast improvement.... next visit is scheduled for mid May, so will see what another three weeks holds.

Okay, back to scrapping.... here is my page for today's sketch reveal.

Though I called my page "now" it was actually then.... hehe photo from 2014. I wanted to use up some of my big letters and didn't have enough for other words so this is what it got. Added some ink splats and leftover flowers and stickers for detail.

Scrapbook Challenges: Liftapalooza: Lyne

It's been a crazy busy week... started off with the lovely weekend in Wyndford and driving home on Monday. Then root canal treatment on Tuesday. Wednesday I woke up with a back spasm just under my left shoulder blade... saw my physio friend Pam on Thursday and now am doing sooooooooo much better. Also been busy with work so in amongst everything I haven't touched my scrapping... this is when I am glad for those times when I can produce on mass ahead of schedule.

Today is another scraplift day.... I had fun creating this page with leftover papers, stickers and some splatters, not to mention stitching too!

Check out the blog for some more inspiration from the team.

Scrapbook Challenges: Liftapalooza: Katie

There is a new challenge up on the blog today... a scraplift of Katie's page. Of all the pages we are doing this month this one I found the hardest to do, yet it was fun.... just a ton of layering around the photo is really what caught my eye.

Check out the blog for a few more ideas.

Scrapbook Challenges: Sketch 478

Wow what an awesome weekend away.... loved to be able to spend it with my Mom at Wyndford. Took loads of photos so will soon be able to scrap the memories of this great weekend too.

Today's page however is from 2014.... a pile of layouts waiting to be filed. My current pile is only about a 1/4 of this!

Check out the blog for some more inspiration.

Scrapbook Challenges: Liftapalooza: Karen

Last Friday there was a new reveal in our Liftapalooza challenge... I missed posting it as I was away for the weekend. So here is my page, better late than not at all.

As the challenge is about taking inspiration from the layout and making it your own, I used the stencilling idea behind the photos and also the layout of two photos.

Play along all month, there is lots of inspiration to see on the blog.

Scrapbook Challenges: Liftapalooza 2016: Ali

This month at Scrapbook Challenges we have changed things up again and are doing scraplifts of all the new design team members... similar to the Sketch Crew Crush in Feb. I had fun making layouts for each one... here is the first.

I have taken the layout as a sketch base and worked from there....as this one was about our building, I found some tissue paper in my stash that has building plans on it and used that for my background, along with some Kaisercraft papers and scraps.I even managed to haul out some old chipboards to use... so nice to use up some of the never-ending stash!

You can read more about Ali on the blog and also see what others did with her page.
