I am back from my week's holiday... post coming soon about that... and yesterday I got down to scrapping again... so good to be creative.  This is one of the layouts that I did... just in time for today's sketch reveal at Nuts About Sketches

Scrapbook Challenges - Sketch 314

Even when on holiday the scrapping goes on... okay it's called pre-planning!  I scrapped last week Saturday and managed to get a few done knowing that I would be away.  Here is today's layout:

This layout just commemorates a movie that Keith took Aaron too... Dad's first ever kiddies cartoon movie.. and in 3D too!!  They did enjoy it.

I replaced the one big photo in the sketch with four smaller ones... just shows how versatile a sketch can be.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 231

I had a lovely scrapping day on Saturday and managed to get a few of my Design Team pages done.  Here is this week's one:

This layout is all about Aaron's test run for making supper.  I did step-by-step photos and included the descriptions in my journalling.  The utensils at the top were part of a previous kit that I had but never used.  I painted them with a silver glass and then used a slick writer to do the black handles.

Back to Scrapping - Geography Class

The month of September at Scrapbook Challenges is themed "Back to Scrapping".

Each week there are great "classes" on offer with lots of inspiration... and today it is my turn.... and I am giving a class in Geography.... meaning you need to use a map on your page.

I used a Scrapkits page for my layout with a few tweaks (as per my usual habit!)

On the inside flap I included a photo of the map of the reserve as well as a cut-out signpost.

This layout is of pictures from Rietvlei Nature Reserve.  Papa & Granny took Aaron there for a day trip during this past July school holiday.

Scrapbook Challenges - Sketch 312

Can you believe it that it's another Monday already?  Time sure flies past each week... and I find it hard at the moment to keep my had above water and up to date with all my scrapping deadlines.  I managed to get this week's layout done on time.

I am super chuffed with this layout too in that I used up lots of old stickers and alphas that have been sitting around for a few years.

Boy oh boy the sketch that this is based on is a great one....

Nuts About Sketches - Week 230

I've had a busy month since Dad died that trying to get some scrapping done hasn't been that easy.  Last week I was also sick in bed with horrid sinus... but by Friday I decided to give the bed a miss and spent the day in my scraproom... I managed to get a few pages done...one of which is for this week's sketch reveal.

The sketch for this has wonderful potential too for all sorts of layouts.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 229

It is with great excitement that I heard that I was chosen to serve another term with Shawn and the Nuts About Sketches team.  I received all my sketches and planned my layouts... and then the wheels fell off.  I eventually got back to scrapping yesterday and scrapped my layout for today's reveal.

This is the sketch that we were given:

I left the "brads" off as it was just a bit much to even think about yesterday while scrapping... that is the beauty of sketches... it's a start and you adapt it to suit.
