I have a little bit of a challenge for you this week... try something old and turn it into something new. For me that is paper piecing. To finish my layout I decided that it needed some mushrooms, but seeing as I didn't have any stickers or paper to fussy cut, I turned to a paper piecing book to get some inspiration. I found the perfect mushrooms and turned the patterns into a cutfile before cutting them out of lots of leftover Kaisercraft papers using my Silhouette Curio machine. This definitely made paper piecing sooooooo much easier. When last did you make your own embellishments from your stash for a layout? Try it and share what you've made.
