Dunia Designs - This Is August kit

I am always excited when the designers bring out a new kit to play with. The colours of this one are a stretch for me again... just not my usual colours I scrap with... but I love being able to stretch myself and figure out how to use the kit.

Just after I got the kit, I saw a layout on instagram that I used as inspiration to create my layout. This made scrapping my page so much easier. And changing my photo to black & white also meant that the colours everything just works!

All this month there is the PennySavers special on at The Digital Press. Dunia's This Is August kit will be released over the next week at $1 per piece... grab them whilst you can.

I am off to shop in the Pennysavers sale to pick up some great specials. I know last year I got some awesome goodies to scrap with.

Rachel Etrog - Under The Stars

Rachel has a new collection out today at The Digital Press called Under The Stars... it is perfect for camping layouts but also for an everyday adventure. I used it to scrap the Matric camp that Aaron went on last year.

Pixel Scrapper - Summer Layout Madness

I joined Pixel Scrapper last year just before their Summer Layout Madness... and now it's here again. This means that I've officially been digi scrapping for a whole year now. Do I miss the paper, ink and glue side of it? ... sure, but I really am having fun without the mess. I am scrapping just as much (if not more!) than paper scrapping and don't have to worry about the layouts just piling up waiting to be filed. At this stage they're sitting on my pc (and in sync) waiting for the day to be printed....hopefully by the end of this year I will get my 2018 and 2019 albums done. 

Anyways, back on to the topic of this post.... I set out to do 15 layouts this month for the SLM, knowing that at least 9 of them would be for Gingerscraps, plus a few DT pages and then hopefully a couple of the challenges specifically for Pixel Scrapper too. I managed to combine a few as well. So here's the list of what I accomplished:

All other layouts created this month (9 of them) fall in the No Prompt category and count towards the total. All in all I managed to do 23 layouts this month for the SLM challenge!

Super chuffed to have accomplished so much more than what I had originally set out to do. I guess 15 was a little conservative!

AppScrappers - July Friday sketch no3

Last Friday there was another sketch challenge at AppScrappers... a double page pocket style sketch. I took the challenge and made the layout.

I used the Gingerscraps rewards kit from last month and so this will also count towards one of my layouts for their challenges this month. I've been wanting to scrap these pics in a double layout for ages so this was actually the perfect challenge to get it done.

The Digital Press - July2020 challenges

AppScrappers - Friday sketch challenge

Last Friday there was another sketch challenge at AppScrappers... I used the sketch and created this layout for the Connie Prince challenge at Gingerscraps.... great way to combine challenges.

I am slowly working my way through the Gingerscrap challenges this month and will post all my other layout later once done,

AppScrappers - sketch challenge

On Friday there was a sketch challenge announced on the AppScrappers facebook group... well I am a sucker for sketches (I think I've said that before!) so just had to tackle this one.

The original sketch was an 8 1/2 by 11 inch page so I did most of that and just stretched the top paper turn the page into a 12x12. I used lots of but from kits by Dunia Designs, GoneDigital Designs and Rachel Etrog to create this layout. Love the mix and match effect.

This is not a colour scheme I would normally use but it's great for these pictures of my niece's two little girls.
