Nuts About Sketches - Week 97

This is my last layout as a design team member for Nuts About Sketches... sniff sniff.  I'm very sad to be leaving but I will definitely be reapplying in September!

So be sure to keep following the Nuts About Sketches blog and see what the new design team creates... they will be working very hard to show you how to interpret these wonderful sketches.

I've finished 2007!!

I am really proud of myself... is that a bad thing to say?  I don't think so because I set a goal and I've accomplished it!  I have finished scrapping all my layouts for 2007 and before the end of Feb too.  So here are the last few that I tackled this weekend.

Now  my next task is to get the 2008 and 2009 layouts for which I've printed photos done and then print photos for all the other outstanding layouts - but that's a big job all on it's own!

Please dig deep....

Aaron's school is having a fundraiser again and this time he has to learn facts about South Africa... it's called an Afrithon.  Please can you see your way to sponsoring him per correct answer - he has to do 30 questions... so if you sponsor R1 per question that would be R30.  The test is next Friday and then I will nag for the money.  So at this stage it's a pledge.

More scrapping updates

After having helped Aaron with his homework and doing the ironing yesterday afternoon, I managed to do some scrapping.... and then again after he went to bed.  And by the end of the evening I had done FIVE pages.  It's so nice to scrap when the pages are pre-planned... they just flow then one after the other.

At this rate I will be able to finish all my 2007 layouts this week.  It's nice to be so productive.

My time on the Nuts About Sketches design team is fast coming to a close... only two weeks left... sniff :(

Happy Scrapping

It is soooooooooooooooo nice to be scrapping in bulk again... yes I had a VERY productive scrapping weekend... 10 layouts done and 16 more planned.

To prove that I don't just scrap all weekend... here is what else I did this weekend...
1. Friday afternoon we had Aaron's school friend to play as well as piano practice and a bit of grocery shopping and I spent part of the afternoon planning pages for scrapping later as well as doing two loads of washing.
2. Friday evening Judi came for supper and yes we scrapped.
3. Saturday morning our maid came and I did some scrapping and emailing.  Then I took her home... to Cosmos City... boy is it FAR!!  and was very enlightening for my little guy to see how the other half lives.  Makes me very grateful for our house with its big garden... not living right on top of my neighbour.
4. Saturday afternoon I did load after load of washing in between a few scrap pages.
5. Sunday morning we skipped church... Keith braaied a turkey for lunch... yummy!! and Judi & Gayle came for lunch and we spent the afternoon just chilling and chatting... amazingly not scrapping though that had been the plan.... so once they left at 5:30 I did scrap!!!
6. Sunday evening we ended up with a power failure from 7 till about 7:45.... watch a bit of tv, scrapped and then watched 2 hours of Titanic.  Only went to bed at 11:30pm Yawn!

So now you know in a nutshell what the past weekend entailed....

The 2010 Winter Games begin Friday, February 12, 2010. 

And how do I know this... hehehhee... Google of course!

Matching layout

A few years back I did a "woman's day" scrap.  One of our projects was to do a framed layout.

Well I was so chuffed with mine that I decided then and there that I wanted to do a matching one.  well now 5 years later I have eventually done the matching layout.

Now to get it into the frame and up on the wall.

This is all the scrapping that I've done in February... ouch!!!!  So hopefully this weekend I can get back to doing some major scrapping and get back on track with my "layout a day" goal that I've set for myself.

Nuts About Sketches - Week 95

Time for another sketch reveal...

This was a fun layout to make.  I went to the Buddy Bear website and downloaded some of their banners which I then traced and made my own borders.
