The Digital Press - June2020 Challenges

These weren't quite as many designer challenges this month at The Digital Press, but I am still doing those that come along as each one is another page done.

Boy oh boy was I ever so chuffed to find out I won the random draw for the challenge by Dawn by Design last month.... I got myself a free kit which I've used for this month's challenge. I used a sketch from Lisa Hidy:

I did the template challenge from NiniGoesDigi this month.

Rachel Etrog also provided a template challenge this month with the theme birthdays. I scrapped pics of my great-niece's birthday from last month:

Here's hoping that there will be a few more challenges next month as I really love doing them.

Rachel Etrog - June Stories

Rachel has a new kit out at The Digital Press called June Stories... lovely bright colours. As June is our winter month I decided to rather make a generic page and used a photo from Feb last year.

Dunia Designs - Endless Summer

It seems a bit strange talking about an endless summer when we're shivering in the middle of winter... guess that's what happens when you're on a DT for a northern hemisphere designer...hehe. Oh well as least we get warm just looking at the pretty papers and photos.

Gingerscraps - June2020 challenges

I have had so much fun creating these pages this month as I have been using the sketches provided by AppScrappers for their #June2020bingo. Each of these layouts used one of the sketches (except the signature of course!). This definitely made making the layouts easier as I had a base to work from. I know from previous experience that I work best from sketches so I really do need to do this more often.

DigiScrapParade - Priorities

The DigiScrapParade is a online bloghop that happens once a quarter with a whole host of participants and you end up with a huge free kit. I've used portions of it to create these layouts:

Rachel Etrog made some PL cards too. After trying to do a layout only using her cards I finally gave up and combined them with papers and bits from other designers as that is more how I'm scrapping at this moment.

Simply PL - Telephone Scrapping

This weekend in the Simply Project Life group on facebook they're having a telephone scrap... ie someone posts a layout and the person gets inspired and posts, and so on. Well after two days I decided to jump in and do a page too.

I used Dunia Designs' ThisIsMay kit.

These simple quick challenges are always fun to do (even when feeling rather snotty!)

GDD - Staycation kit

I've been drooling over the sneakpeaks of this kit since I first saw them, so once I got my hands on it I just dove straight in and scrapped..... truly love the colours in the kit.

The whole kit is on sale all weekend at The Digital Press.

and then there were a few extras released too which I also had to scrap, so made another page.

I love the bright colours and all the different patterns in this kit. Though it's called "Staycation" I can definitely see this being used for all sorts of themes.

The Lilypad - SWL MIS challenge

I signed up to do the Make It Snappy challenge by Scrapping with Liz that's help at The Lilypad.... such a fun quick challenge.

I will be trying to do a few other challenges at The Lilypad this month still.

Dunia Designs - This Is June

There are lots of new kits hitting the store today at The Digital Press including a new one from Dunia Design called This Is June. As I didn't have too many current June pics nor any from the last two years to suit, I picked one from April last year ... when it was a little chilly at Wyndford.

 

I saw a gorgeous page using Penelope Dee papers and loved the design principle of it that I used it as my inspiration for this page.
