IQCG - May Butterflies

Our theme this month is butterflies. I love butterflies and have made a few different ones over the years but have always looked for new ideas to make others. I started crafting some whilst we were on our beach holiday in March but didn't really like how they turned out so never completed them. I think best I go back and tackle that project. I did however manage to complete this cute one and added it to a card:

Be sure to check out the IQCG blog all month long for loads more ideas.

Off The Rails - Tiny Bubbles

Our theme this month is all things Hippy. Well I just went for colourful plus I love the pic on the moodboard of the girl blowing the dandilion... just like these kids blowing bubbles:

This layout is based on a Jowilna original design which I tweeked a little to suit my photos. I love the papers from Illustrated Faith...the colours just worked well with my photos and also added to the moodboard theme. I diecut the bubble circles and even added some of the solid bits to my page too.

Sketch N Scrap - May 1st sketch

Today I am sharing my layout using the newest sketch:

These pics from Wyndford are from our trip in 2015 when we had a hailstorm on Saturday afternoon... the trees there are also just so magestic and interesting. I used papers from Penelope Dee on my layout and also stamped the two pinecones from the matching stampset.

Join us on facebook for the 7th Birthday Bash Bingo as well... this layout is one of the challenges so you can cross off a bingo block if you play along. Come join the crop.

Stick It Down - May2019 Double

It was NSD this past weekend and I had lots of plans of scrapping all weekend. Well that went out the window in one fell swoop when I got tons of private work to do..... so I worked all weekend. Now I need another one just to catch up with myself. Thankfully Wednesday is a holiday (yes we must all go vote) so hoping that I can get some down time and scrap a little too.

I had fun a few weeks ago when I made this cute page for today's reveal.

Our sponsor is Cheapo Dies and the wreath die that I used on my page is one that is available from them (though I didn't buy it from them as I have had it in my stash for quite some time and this was a good excuse to use it!).

I must say I really love how my layout turned out...this is the sketch we are following:

We have a jam packed month ahead whilst we celebrate Sketch N Scrap's 7th birthday.

Here is my card for my challenge this month...a special baby shower card for a little boy who is coming soon.

You need to use the following sketch and the twist to the challenge is to make a monochromatic card.

We are celebrating this special 7th birthday with a month long bingo game. Here is the full card.... you need to join our private event group and then complete a full row or column or diagonal on the card and you can win some lovely prizes. If you get a full blackout you get entered into the grand prize draw.

Let's Scrap Sketches - 1 May

It's soooo nice to be in the month of May. I love this month, when all the trees change colour and it's not toooooooo cold or toooooooooo hot... just right like the baby bear in the fairytale.

It's going to be a funfilled and busy month with sharing of creative project for me... so be prepared for a few more regular posts than just the few dt ones I've been doing lately.

Here is today's layout for Let's Scrap Sketches.

This is the sketch we used.... I only did the right side and took the liberty of using a pattern piece of circle paper in place of all the square.

Visit the blog for lots more inspiration by the DT.

Let's Get Sketchy - May 2019

It's sooooooooooo nice to have a public holiday today. I've been catching up with myself on some DT stuff and just generally taking it easy. Did do a load of washing in our new machine (yes hubby bought a new one on the weekend as our existing one is about to conk out!) and some baking.

Next week we have another holiday as we go to vote, so how apt that I've just done a layout about voting in 2016. Guess next week I will be doing much the same stuff too as in this pic... hehe.

As well as the great sketch we are also playing with a moodboard this month. I tried very hard to stick with the variety of bright colours by using some Simple Stories paper from my stash.
