I so enjoyed making my digital album for 2017 that I've decided to do it again for 2018. I haven't done too much for it yet besides taking photos! So this last month I've been busy planning and now I think I'm ready to begin creating.
I found a facebook group called Simply Project Life where I've learnt lots of tips and tricks which I hope to implement. Plus I follow The Practical Scrapper (Meagan) on instagram and her blog for tons of inspiration. I've just done my first layout for this year's album which is thanks mainly to Meagan for the inspiration and help (from afar)
So now I need to plan a whole bunch more and get cracking on this so that by January I will be able to print my album.

Let's Scrap Sketches - 15 Oct
I have another reveal today... decided just to do a single page for this one:
I chose to use our company colours for my layout... feels very refreshing to do a layout predominately with cardstock and just a subtle hint of pattern paper. I designed my own cutfile for my title after seeing a similar one on the internet about our home.... just made it work for my layout.
Here's the great sketch we used... I might just have to use this one again sometime soon.

Lets Get Sketchy - 15 Oct
Can you believe we are already halfway through October.... this year is flying past. I have so much going on at the moment that it's hard to keep track of which day of the week I'm on. I'm grateful therefore for the gentle reminders of posting my layouts on certain days so I can figure out where I am in the scheme of things. Here is my layout for this reveal:
I started off with a fairly plain pattern paper background that didn't really do much for the pics so then I decided to be a bit daring and get messy. I hauled out my box of inks and went slightly mad with some browns and blues and a bit of water. I love the way it all worked in the end to give me the watery muddy feel we had with the water flooding our garden too!

ScrapPlezier - Oct Moodboard
It's time again for our monthly moodboard challenge at ScrapPlezier and this one definitely stretched me a bit...
I struggled with this combo to start with... not my favourite colours at all, but then I got inspired by these cute duck pics and so went hunting for a sketch. I found one from Creative Scrappers that inspired and so the layout evolved from there. I started with some black soot distress oxide which I splatted onto the background of my layout. Then I used various sheets of Lady Pattern Paper for my circles and backed them with grey or gold cardstock. Lastly I dipped some old book paper into yellow and orange distress oxide inks and diecut some leave and feathers. Once all these pieces were done I matted my three photos on black cardstock and stuck everything down. I added a few scattered enamel dots and bling and then finally diecut my title.

Hope you get inspired too. Check out the blog for a few more ideas.

ScrapPlezier - Birds of a Feather
I have another layout to share today, this time for ScrapPlezier.
I chose a simple grid layout for this sketch and used small photos so that I could include six of them. For the little pattern paper squares I used some blue scraps from the Indigo Skies and Ubud Dreams Kaisercraft Collections. I added little touches of yellow in the flowers, thread and washi tape to pick up on the yellow beaks of the birds. I found a cutfile for my title which I then also backed with yellow as it showed up better on the green strip. Lastly I added a few blue blings.
Head on over to the blog to see some more details and inspiration.

Sketch N Scrap - Pumpkin Spice Crop Challenge 4
I am sharing my card today as part of the online crop.
I added some little quilled flowers to my card as a twist. I decided to use the yellow base to match the yellow centres and then picked up the pink colour in the banners.
Come join us on the blog and facebook and play along in the online Pumpkin Spice crop happening too.

Stick It Down - Oct Double
This month we have a fun collaboration for you...
I was a little concerned when given the brief for this page.... use white and grey on your layout.... it took me ages to decide on photos and finally I found these ones I took at Qwantani back in 2014. I used paper from Penelope Dee and combined it with a strip of washi tape, some texture paste stencilling and then a few diecut feathers in shades of grey. Lastly I added a few blobs of dimensional glaze and sprinkled in some microbeads. I am super proud of my page.
This is our gorgeous sketch that you get to work with:
and then the extra challenge... we teamed up with the White + 1 blog and this month's colour is grey.
Be sure to check out the blog for loads more inspiration from our team.

Sketch N Scrap - 1 Oct sketch
My layout is live on facebook today for added inspiration on the 1st of October's sketch.
Don't you just love rainbows??? They are beautiful and seeing them always makes me think of God and His wonderful promise never to flood the whole earth. To me the rainbow is a symbol of all promises... we even had it as our decor at our wedding.
I continued the rainbow in my page by picking up all the colours in the flowers and cardstock. I even made my own piece of backing paper by spraying various inks over a sheet of white cardstock (and myself! hehe!!)
Come join us on the blog and facebook . There is also the online Pumpkin Spice crop happening this month, so lots of scrapping inspiration coming up.

Let's Scrap Sketches - 1 Oct
We are enjoying a week away so my posts are all scheduled and hopefully get posted correctly.
I decided to do a single page this week from the awesome sketch, simple as I had 3 jumbo's needing a home. I used some of the TeenBoy range from LA Paper for my layout... it seemed to capture the mood of these photos perfectly.... Aaron all made up and ready to perform in his class play at the school Mother's Day High Tea (I have already scrapped about that!).

Lets Get Sketchy - 1 Oct
It's so good to be on holiday and still be able to showcase some of my scrapping... the joys of being able to schedule posts!
I decided to dig into my scrap stash and use up a few bits and piece of old papers for this page... it's just a mish-mash of papers that all go together and complement each other without distracting too much from the cute bunnies in the photos.
