Google @ the fair
Wow the guys at Google are getting more and more inventive with their logos.... nearly missed this one today..... if you scroll over the logo you get an upclose view of an area and can see all the tiny details.... like this....
Such fun and so surprising when you open your broswer! I just love these.... they really brighten my day.

Nuts About Sketches - Birthday Celebration 1
Today is Nuts About Sketches's THIRD birthday.... wow that is a lot of sketches to use for all our layouts. To celebrate Shawn will be revealing a sketch a day for a whole week. If you create layouts from these sketches(you need to email Shawn with them.... details found on the blog) you could win an awesome prize.

This is my layout based on this awesome sketch.
I was very chuffed with myself in creating this layout..... I altered the flowers from green to brown and heat-embossed them. I did the same with the main title lettering which was animal print! And look, I even stitched by hand!

A Royal Day
Today was a VERY special and REGAL day... the day that half the world was looking forward to.... the Royal Wedding.
THis is the Google pic for Google.co.uk in celebration of today's occassion... very cute.
Aaron & I spent the day glued to the tv.... we watched all the pomp and ceremony from 8:30 this morning till after 3. This evening we had a rerun of it again..... went to a friend's house for supper and to watch a recording of the whole ceremony.... lovely to watch it a second time with friends.
So how did you spend your day of the Royal Wedding? This one brought back lots of memories of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding.... loved it all.

Google is fluttering today
Lots of pretty birds are appearing on Google today... all in celebration of some guy's birthday.... so I looked him up on Wikipedia...
John James Audubon (April 26, 1785 – January 27, 1851) was a French-American ornithologist, naturalist, hunter, and painter. He painted, catalogued, and described the birds of North America in a manner far superior to what had gone before. In his embrace of America and his outsized personality and achievements, he represented the new American people of the United States.

Happy happy Easter everyone. With yesterday being a holiday, I spent my day scrapping and didn't touch the pc too much so never got around to posting this week's sketch.... here it is now:
Seeing all that space for photos I had fun deciding on my layout.... so I choose to do lots of pics... I'm sure you won't be surprised!
I got the photos off of Beautiful Creatures Facebook page and then used the ones of us that were taken at the show, plus our ticket.... just a fun memory of a great afternoon.
